Canceling auto-renewal |
Cancel
auto-renewal: allows you to cancel automatic billing of your
credit card at the end of your membership subscription period.
To cancel
subscription, click the link, "cancel auto-renewal" on the
ACCOUNTS page. Your
membership will continue for the remainder of your paid period,
after which, you may manually renew. |

Groups |
Before creating a
profile, you have "guest" status which does not allow full
access to the site. After creating a profile, you will
have "Complimentary member" status which allows full priveliges.
At some time in the future, you will be required to purchase a
Full membership for communication privileges, and for extra
features, such as IM, BLOG, CHAT, and PHOTO GALLERY privileges. |

Options |
Modify
password: allows you to choose a new password;
Subscribe: links to a page allowing you to purchase
a membership of your choice; Renew my membership: takes you
directly to the credit card transaction page to reinstate your
current or last membership; Cancel auto-renewal:
allows you to cancel automatic billing of your credit card at

Alerts/newsletters: allows you to control what is sent to your

of children must agree to actively prohibit their children under
the age of 18 from participating in this service or any other
services associated with this site. You agree not to
upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any

another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise

Conduct |
There shall be no
harassing, threatening, abusive, or offensive content permitted.
Obscene content of any type is prohibited. You must be 18
years of age or older to use any services. It is
recommended that you discuss the topic in progress rather than
switching to something unrelated. You may not use the chat
for promotional or advertising purposes. You may not
discuss other members, or disclose any knowledge or personal
information you may have about them. Information
disclosure, or identification of other members will result in
suspension of chat privileges. Complaints may be addressed
to the administrator. |

How to |
Click CHAT on the
toolbar and the chat room will load. Use the controls to
create your own personalized window. You may customize
your text, and save text that is in your window. You may
change your status as you wish, depending on your immediate
availability. Note: there is a large selection of
fun-to use icons located on the toolbar. |

enabled or disabled from the ACCOUNT page. There are
several alerts you may be interested in receiving. Your
choices are as follows. On every new registration:
you receive notice every time someone of the opposite sex
registers. Send me current lists of "My top matches by
email: A list of your matches will be sent regularly by
email. If someone views my
profile: an email is sent if someone clicks on your
profile. New email: An email is sent to you if you
receive a message in your NeverMarried.Net mailbox. |

Newsletters |
Newsletter emails
may be enabled or disabled from the ACCOUNT page. This
will contain site news and information that may be of interest
to you. |

Other members |
You may send and
receive messages if you have 1) created a profile and 2) have a
membership which includes communication privileges.
Non-subscribed members will not be able to send and receive
messages; to use this service, you must purchase a
Full membership. |

IM |
|
Pop-up blockers |
If instant
messaging does not work correctly for you, the problem may be
that your computer has a pop-up blocker installed. The
Google toolbar has a pop-up blocker, which can be
disabled/enabled by first finding the menu arrow next to the
word, "Google" and locating the "Options" choice. Uncheck
the pop-up blocker to temporarily allow the instant messaging
window to appear. Another method to allow a pop-up window
is to hold the "Ctrl" key down at the same time the pop-up is
attempted. |

Premium
service |
Instant messaging
is a feature associated with Full membership; To upgrade, go to your HOME
or ACCOUNT page and click "Subscribe/upgrade." Purchasing
an upgrade will instantly enable Full membership features, which
includes instant messaging. |

Lists |

Approximate matches |
This category
displays members who match some basic criteria.
This category will only display after "Perfect matches" in
the "top matches" category. Please note that the more your
profile is completed, the better your match results will be. |
|
Emailed me |
This displays the
number of messages you have received. If a number appears
in parenthesis, this indicates the number of UNREAD emails that
you have. As soon as you have viewed your new email, this
number will disappear. |
|
Perfect matches |
This category
displays members who match more closely to your criteria.
The system generates a "Perfect match" if you match
certain basic preferences plus a certain percentage of other
preferences. The overall match is made up of
several categories, which are weighted according to our
customized formula. |
|
Reversed matched you |
This category
displays similarly to "Approximate matches," except just the
opposite. This displays members who would see you as an
approximate match.
Again, please note that your profile
should be completed to generate better matches. |
|
Sent an email |
This category
displays the number of emails sent by you to other members.
Clicking on this link will take you to your MAILBOX page where
you can view inbox and outbox messages. |
|
Saved profiles |
This link
displays the number of profiles that you have set aside for
viewing by clicking "Add to saved profiles." To remove
profiles from this list, if you are viewing a profile in search
results, simply click. "Delete from saved profiles," or go to
SAVED PROFILES and click "Delete from list." |
|
Sent me a kiss |
These members are
interested in you and have sent you a communication that we call
a "kiss." You may respond by sending them a "kiss" or better
yet, send them a personal message. To send a message, you must
have a Full membership. To
purchase, click the "Subscribe now" link on your HOME page or
"Subscribe/upgrade" on your ACCOUNT page. |

Viewed my profile |
This category
displays the number of members who have viewed your profile.
By clicking this link, you can see the profiles of all members
who have viewed you profile. |
|

Login |
|
Lost password |
The system
encrypts passwords so that you cannot retrieve your actual
password. This is done to make your password more secure.
After clicking "Lost password" the system will give you the
opportunity to generate a new random password that you have no
control over. After using this new password to log in, you
may change your password to a new one of your choice from the
HOME page or ACCOUNT page. Just click "Change password"
and follow the prompts. |

Password |
The password must
be at least (6) characters. Although it is not required
that you use a combination of letters and numbers, a combination
will provide a greater degree of security. |
|
Remember me |
By checking this
box on the LOGIN page, a "cookie" is generated that allows you
to log in directly to the home page without typing your username
and password. " Remember me" only remembers so long. The
longest the system will remember is 30 days. |
|
Username |
Your username
must be at least (2) characters. It may be letters or
numbers, or a combination. |
|
|
Matches |

Approximate |
This link is
found on the HOME page in the "My matches" column. This category
displays members who match some basic criteria.

Deleting |
Deleting a
profile irreversibly deletes profile information. You must
send a request to cancel to the admin from the CONTACT US page
to have your account completely deleted. As an
alternative, the option of "hiding" your profile allows you to
come back later and reactivate. Clicking" Hide my profile"
on the (logged in) HOME page removes your profile from
being posted on the site and may be re-posted by clicking
"Un-hide." |

Periods |
Subscriptions are
sold by the following time periods: (1) month, (2) month,
and (3) month. |
|
Upgrade |
You may upgrade
your membership at any time. You may only upgrade from
"Not subscribed or Complimentary member" to a "Full" member. Upgrading may be done by
clicking "Subscribe/upgrade." After proceeding through
checkout, you will immediately be granted Full
member privileges as the credit card transaction
completes. |

At the present
time, all users are granted full privileges and may use all the

Guest |
When a non-member
uses the search on the INDEX page, he may view profiles,
although he has no communication privileges. A new user
must create a profile before becoming a FREE user, which then allows
him/her to communicate. |

Compli-mentary |
Temporary free

Full |
Full memberships
allows the user to access all the features including, IM, CHAT,
and PHOTO GALLERY. |

Password |

Changing |
Changing your
password may be done from the HOME page by clicking on "Change
password" or from the ACCOUNT page, "My registration info"
column, by clicking "modify" next to "Password." |

Encryption |
The system
encrypts all passwords in the database to improve security. |

Recovering |
Because passwords
are encrypted (for added security) it is impossible to retrieve
them. Instead, a random password is issued and sent to
your email. If you wish to have a password of your own
choosing, simply log in with the new password, and then change
your password to whatever you like, so long as it meets the
minimum character requirements. |

Photos and multimedia |
|
Icons |
Icons are the
main photos of the profile. They are displayed anytime
your profile comes up in a list or search result. Icons
must depict you, the user. Uploads of ICON photos that do
not depict the user will not be accepted. Uploaded ICON
photos may be cropped and contrast corrected by us prior to
posting. Sizes must be under 2 MB and 2000 x 2000px.
We reserve the right to change formats and size for any uploaded
photos. It is advisable to submit photos in the JPEG
format and not BMP (bitmap) since the JPEG format allows for
smaller file size and faster processing. |
|
Making smaller |
To create an icon
size photo, or shrink a photo, you can use the tools you already
have on your computer if you have Windows.
STEP 1:
Find the picture in your computer and right click on it.
STEP 2:
Select "Open with." ...you should find "Paint"...click on it.
STEP 3:
On the toolbar, click on Image>Stretch/skew.
STEP 4:
Where you see Horizontal 100% and Vertical 100%, change BOTH to
something less than 100%, such as 30%, 40% or 50%. Choose
the SAME NUMBER for both horizontal and vertical.
STEP 5:
Check the dimensions by clicking Image>attributes and select the
button that says, "pixels." Check to see if the horizontal
and/or vertical is less than the maximum allowed pixel dimension. If you
need to shrink it some more, go back to Image>Stretch/skew and
again type in less than 100% for both vertical and horizontal.
STEP 6:
If your dimensions are less than( horizontal) 150 x (vertical)
250, then click File>Save as and you may want to change the name
so that so that you keep your original picture for future use. |

Multimedia album |
In addition to
your "Icon" photo, you have a multimedia album, which can hold
up to (3) pictures, (1) audio, and (1) video file. At the
top of your profile (2) of your (3) pictures will display as
thumbnails. To view full size pictures, click on the
Multimedia album and them click on the photo you wish to see at
full size. |

Photos (other than icons) |
There are four
places for you to upload pictures. First, there are Icons
which are the first and main picture of the profile. These
are small in order to load quickly. Second, there are
Multimedia album pictures, of which (3) display alongside of the
icon photo, and all display in the Multimedia section of the
profile, which is at the bottom. Third, there are Photo
gallery pictures, which display on a bulletin board. This
feature is accessible only by users with Full memberships.
Lastly there are Blog images, which you may upload as part of
your blog. Again, this feature is only accessible through
Full membership. |

Photo gallery |
By clicking PHOTO
GALLERY on the main toolbar, users with Full memberships may
view photos posted by other members. Each member is
allowed to post up to (5) Photo gallery pictures. |
|
Rejection |
All uploaded
pictures must be approved by admin before they are displayed.
Sometimes a picture will not upload because of size. Be
sure to check the top of the window after sending an upload to
make sure there is not an error message telling you that your
photo exceed size limits. |
|
Size
limits |
Icons: Size less than 2000 x 2000
pixels; total file size less than 5 MB.
Profile photos (Multimedia album:
Size less than 2000 x 2000 pixels; total file size less than 5
MB.
Audio files: Size less than
500,000 kb.

Uploading |
Upload links for
profile pictures and multimedia can be found on the HOME page in
the "Profile" column and at the top the PROFILE page in the
profile header area. Photo gallery pictures may be
uploaded from the bottom of the PHOTO GALLERY page and Blog
photos may be uploaded from the BLOG page>My Blog>New
message>Add a picture. |

Completion |
View your
percentage of your profile completion in the information table
in the left hand column. The more profile information you
complete, the better your match results will be. |

Editing |
Go to the PROFILE
page and click the edit buttons or click the link, "Edit your
profile" in the "Profile" column of the HOME page. |

Hiding |
Click "Hide
profile" in the "Profile" column of the HOME page. |
|
Personal message |
Type a personal
message about yourself. Try to be open and honest and
express your feelings. The most interesting writing comes
"from the heart." If you have trouble uploading a message,
there may be words that are prohibited. Do not give your
real name, phone number or contact information or your profile
will be rejected or modified. You may not use your profile for
advertisements or promotions. Contact

if you have questions or problems uploading your personal

To view your
profile in Edit mode, simply click "Profile" on the main
toolbar. To see your profile as others see it, click "View
profile" in the "Profile" column of the HOME page. |

page under the column, "My lists." This link searches for
all users who have saved your profile. |

New members |
Click the "New
members" link in the left column, or click QUICK SEARCH on the main toolbar and
look towards the bottom of the page to find
"Special searches." Click "New and updated profiles within the
last 90 days" to see all members
who have recently created a profile. Note that if you are logged
in, you will only see profiles of the opposite gender. |

Online members |
Click the "Online
members" link in the left column, or click QUICK SEARCH on the
main toolbar and look towards the bottom of the page to find
"Special searches." Click "Online members" to see all members
who are logged in. Note that if you are logged in, you
will only see profiles of the opposite gender. |

Quick |
Quick Search may
be performed from the (Un-logged in) Index page or the QUICK
SEARCH page. If you are not logged in, the system will
limit the number of profiles you can view. You must log in
to use the QUICK SEARCH page, which remembers your preferences
from the last search. |

Username |
To find an
individual profile, click Quick Search on the main toolbar and
in the middle of the page is "Quick search: by login"
Type the username of the profile you wish to find and click
"Search." |

Settings |

Billing |
To subscribe, you
must use a credit card and all transactions result in recurrent
billing. At the end of your subscription period, your
credit card will automatically be billed for a renewal of your
present subscription. If you wish to cancel your
subscription when it expires, simply click "Cancel auto-renewal"
on the ACCOUNT page in the column entitled, "My account status." |

Chat |
After
clicking Chat on the main toolbar, the CHAT room will load.
Choose "Options" to set the theme, text, effects and sound.
You can choose a variety of small icons to send from the
"smiles" option. Choose from one of four chat rooms.
Only users with Full memberships may use this option. |
|
Email/alerts |
To control email
that you receive from this site, go to the ACCOUNT page and see
the column entitled, "My alerts." These options allow you
to be notified about new profiles, emails, and who is viewing
your profile. It also offers you the option to receive
newsletters by email. |
|
Language |
Select your
language from the main (un-logged in) Index page by clicking on
a flag. |
|
IM popup blockers |
Some pop-up
blockers may interfere with the operation of instant messaging.
If you have a problem receiving an instant message, try
disabling your pop-up blocker. |

Profile |
You may choose to
"Show" or "Hide" your profile. Go to the HOME page and see
the column entitled, "profile" and click on the link near the
bottom of the column to make your profile visible or hidden. |
